......for trying their best to disrupt holiday makers on Friday.

They have been resurfacing the road through Brandon lately. So, what do they do? They close the road Friday evening!!!
Probably one of the busiest times of the year. Brandon is a bit of a bottleneck at the best of times.

I went up in my Ultima during the day on Friday, Mary was travelling up after she finished work at 5pm.
Her ETA at Blakeney should have been about 7:30, so I booked a table for 8:30.
It was nearly 9 when she finally turned up. It took her over an hour just to get around Brandon. We just managed to get a table in the resturant.

It's a pity our roadworkers were not working for the Germans during the war. They would have brought the country to a standstill within a year.

I shall be on the phone tomorrow, trying to find out why on earth they picked this weekend mad

aaaah, you were one of the many i saw quietly fuming as they qued to go through town, was a similar situation on monday with a lot of people thinking they could bypass the really slow A11, and go through Brandon and down the A1065 to mildenhall.... only to be caught by the road works. they ended up queing up the Thetford road passed the town limits!
i went shopping in Thetford, and had to come home via Mundford to avoid the ques.

Ahh,
thought I had caught a glimse of an Ultima in the hotel car park, whilst pushing the pram along the Quay between rain showers. The colour certainly stood out.
