The economic case for dualling the A11

A chance for local businesses to have your say

Atkins Transport Planning has been commissioned by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) to do a study on the economic case for dualling the A11. This study is to include the implications on the economy and wider residential growth in the area.

To strengthen the case, Atkins are seeking direct experiences from the business community by asking any company to provide information on the following two questions:

1. Have you had any instances where your business has had to bear a greater cost, (either capital or operating) directly as a result of congestion on the A11?

2. Have you had any instances where your business expansion or growth plans have been hindered by the A11 - this could be in the form of lost contracts or inability to recruit suitable staff etc.

Atkins are seeking examples of the above quantified in monetary terms where possible. Due to the commercial confidentiality of such data, Atkins re-assure those who provide it that anonymity will be retained as details will not be included within the main body of the report - it will be presented at an aggregate level.
