Mentioned earlier that my 'Swallow' was leaving an embarrasing puddle on my garage floor each night. Transpires that an replacement core is required, if I go for an matching 'old style' core it will cost 500 + VAT, whilst an modern style is 246 + VAT. I've gone for the modern style as my car has an honeycombe false grill front anyway.

As a matter of interest how do'es that compare with the high performance car rad' replacemt costs? compared to my 7.

I had a bespoke ali rad made by Pace, in Haverhill and they charged me around £400, its a thing of beauty!

I have used Anglia Rads (01223 314444) in Cambridge and he quoted me about £250 for the equivelent rad in copper. Really nice work but my rad was for a jap turbo car and I didnt think it was "proper".

I had an alloy rad for the Ultima made up a couple of years ago.

The guys at Breckland Technology put me on to a company in Middx (can't remember exactly where) who did the Mosler rads. About £450 IIRC
Excellent job they made of it too thumbup

Got me rad' back today, good job done on it. New modern core fitted and don't it notice its modern, touch it and it bends the fins, pile of shite compared to what came out. Still I expect its lightwieght and highly effiecient.

New radiator now back in and front end of car back together biggrin started up engine and NO LEAKS ! great. Made sure I used blue antifreeze rather than the red stuff which desolves all the old water tight joints! Just need a dry day now for a run out. Roll on new season.driving

My radiator blew its stack on the TVR and cost about £500 all fitted. Removal and fitting done local and the repair by a specialist in Norwich.
