Back to the font of knowledge to pose the question of best place for the fitting of a towbar to our daily driver. Been quoted 228 inc in our local Diss establishment but feel this is a little steep perhaps.

Just out of interest is that the place up by the station? I know I bought a tow bar off the internet and they charged about £100 to fit, so your price sounds about right. Even though at the time I was a little shocked.

Yes it is very close to the station, I have since had another quote from Anglia Towbars at 207 + V.A.T. So maybe there price is'nt so bad after all, still looking around tho.

there's a mobile chap around here who comes to you and his prices seem to average out at about the £170 mark supplied and fitted.
i'm not sure how far a radius he works in, but the Diss area isn't too far up the 140 from here. i can get his number from a chap in work tomorrow if you're interested.

apologies for the delay in replying, but apparently the company is called Towtek, and Dave Gill is the man to speak to. phone number is 01473 658018.

a few chaps in work have used him and have been very satisfied.

1.80p less, most likely got the discount cos I'm a local biglaugh

Seriously tho, pleased with the job and completed in a couple of hours, also tracked down the ideal trailer, a Woodford advert placed right here on pistonheads!
