Hi everyone,I was planning on selling trhe Westfield in the summer and buying a new car next winter, but a guy heard it may be up for a sale took him out last night and he is having it, so its going in a few weeks. so at the end of march I will be looking for a new toy. I will have about 8k to spend so its going to be a quicker Westfield (would love a V8) or Shirley quiet likes the idea of an early Elise. so who knows what I will be in this summer smile

How about one of these and £3K change?

'Immaculate unkerbed TVR alloys' - I read that as 'Unker-bed' and spent some time wondering why I'd never heard of a wheel maker called 'Unkerbed', doh...

Steve, I say buy a Merc...but then I would hehe

An Elise sounds like a decent PH mobile! My friend's Series 1 Elise is a pretty darn fast for a 1.8 Rover engine! It looks a treat, too, in Norfolk Mustard yellow lick

I recall reading an article on the Westfield Seight, must have been the very first test report on the model. Vivid in my memory 'petrol vapour gushing out from the eight carb mouths',a snarling uncontrollable beast, just touch the throttle and the back end is snaking all over the road.

Bloody fantastic bit of machinery I reckon yes go on Steve, you know you want one. (think they may have developed the car a tad since that early car!)

I currently have a 'prospect' chewing it over, but my Bayliss Thomas is available Steve. Granted its not as quick as some of the cars on here, not the hight of design fashion perhaps. But its good fun to drive! tank

Wow, didn't ever think you'd sell that! are you going to build one yourself?

Early elise sounds like a top plan. what a fantastic car for the money!

I'f I had that sort of money to play with, I'd be building an MK indie with a Honda S2000 engine in it.

So that's why you weren't at the Old Ram today then tankerman.

Have to agree with Simpo Two's choice of a replacement for the Westy but then I am biased.
