Hi there, does anyone know of a breakers yard in East Anglia that deals with Land Rovers?

I'm in need of a few parts for a V reg Freelander, including a rear windscreen & front driveshafts. Having a bit of trouble finding them!

Autoglass are quoting me £422.65 for the glass including fitting which strikes me as bloody steep!

Any ideas?

I'm in the process of buying this Freelander to pull a horse trailer & need it fixed ASAP.

Hannah.

Oh dear ! The never ending spiral has begun. yikes

I remember having a similar conversation with a mate of mine in Suffolk a few years ago now when his missus started the 'horse thing'.

I remember him telling how much this 4 legged thing was costing per month to keep and how he had been out and bought a trailer and then a tow 4x4 to cart in around. Then they built an stable block and tack room, then it was extra land...... and so it goes on and on.

Hannah, you realise you will never have any money now ! laugh

Scott, are you sure you know what your letting yourself in for. biglaugh

Best of luck anyway.

I don't have any money to start with - the saddlers are coming out next week to fit out my two horses & that's likely to be £1K each. Yes I do wish I'd never started.

The Smart will be put up for sale once the Freelander is fixed, the Cobra is staying whatever happens! Luckily renting a field is cheap, just £12 per week per horse.

You can blame Bacardi actually as he's recently sorted me out a second horse through a very good friend of his. Luckily this horse was free. But still blame him anyway! hehe

(Paul, you are the best, thank you very much!!!)

Details on my 2nd horsepower to follow.

Blimey, Bacardi a used horse dealer - who'd have guessed that?

A free horse probably won't go very fast but it'll always be worth its own weight in dogfood hehe

Have you tried www.breakerlink.co.uk or www.findapart.co.uk ? They submit your required parts to various breakeryards from all over the country who then e mail or phone you with quotes. they usually deliver next day too. I have used them for parts for my old Daihatsu Sportrak.

ps Owning horses = no money - tell me about it!!!
