Hello Aaron.
Like many in these forums, I had the pleasure of knowing both your father, so let me just say Welcome to PistonHeads, and the East Anglia forum.
I can garuantee you already have many friends on here, whom you've never met

As for your query, this is the cheapest one currently on PH.

This is the cheapest on Autotrader, although the ad seems a bit dodgy, what with only contacting via email!

I'm no TVR expert, but I think £1,500 is simply not enough to buy a road worthy Chim.
I hope this helps, and, once again, welcome to PH

I can't help with the TVR either I'm afraid but, I hope it works out for you.

You wont get a Chimeara for £1500. I think £8k is more realistic and that will be needing work I fear.
lots of good chims around for 8k that don't seem to need much work. Not concours examples but good ones none-the-less, and on the flip side he's able to get bodywork done apparantly, which means a mechanically sound one with rougher bodywork is a viable option. Chims still have money to lose imo.
At that age chassis issues (particularly outriggers) are a real issue. Not seen an £8k car yet that did not need quite a bit of work, even though on the surface they are all shiney and bright.
Think £1500 is totally unrealistic. Even a write off is worth considerably more for the parts alone.
