Can't see any information on how long the drag strip is.

1/4 mile?????

If its set up as a proper drag strip it will be 1/4 mile.

I would have been interested, but its a bit far for me. I will probably be doing a RWYB at Santa Pod sometime this year. Maybe try and get a group of us together for that if theres enough interest.

Yes its the 1/4 mile strip and the timing beams are always correctly set, its a bit rough on the tyres tho so best take some old rubber!

North weald itself is quite rough!
i've been to quite a few sprints there and saloons can find it hard going, and some single seaters were almost undriveable.

Totally agree! Matt takes his race bike to the 'Run what you Brung' events now and again, its a good event for him to practice his starts off the line and this has helped him enormously on the grids. His at Santa Pod this weekend for some more practice starts and as he says its just a great day out too.
