Showing their car off at the Police Gala Day on Sunday 31st August, at the Norfolk Showground.
For those who haven't been, it's the biggest event of it's kind in East Anglia and incorporates the Radio Norfolk Classic Car Rally.
Last year 20,000 people attended, and I can honestly say, i've never seen so many stunning cars (hundreds) in one place. If you like cars, you'll love this.

Good weather and a BBQ? <rubshands>

Possible clash with Marham rules several out I would think? For those who haven't been, it's the biggest event of it's kind in East Anglia and incorporates the Radio Norfolk Classic Car Rally.

And the fact that I thought it's supposed to be a charity event but didn't seem to donate much in the past

Didn't spot the Marham clash. And the fact that I thought it's supposed to be a charity event but didn't seem to donate much in the past
WRT Charity. Those displaying their cars, do so for free. I believe the paying public are where the revenues for charity are raised, I may be wrong though?
Still, a nice day if anyone's up for it.
I tagged along with the Scooby City boys and girls last year and had a really good day, including a trip in the Helicopter... I could go along with the BMW car club who are also going this year but dont mind either way as it will have to be a last minute thing for me because of work.

I dont know if anyone went to VW over the weekend, but by all accounts it was spoilt by a pretty agressive police presence. Is it the same at this event?
I only would concider going if it is nice and chilled atmosphire
.
It incorporates the Classic Car Rally, and is intended as a family day, although the police may be there doing sting operation on your tax and mots I only would concider going if it is nice and chilled atmosphire
.
?It's a static display, and there are loads of cars there. We took a pic-nic last year and was a really nice chilled atmosphere, well spread out. Are you up for it?

Do we need to book to display the cars, or just turn up on the day?
I'll have to double check, but I think you can just turn up before 9 and park up, but you'll possibly be directed away from anyone you enter with. If we book an area, we'll all be together.ETA, i've just tried calling the organiser, his answer machine says
"sorry I can't take your call, and i won't reply either, so please don't leave a message"

Police

Will let you know asap

Went to it last year with the Robin Hood owners club and it was a good show. Good range of cars and lots to do. Would recomend it
