New Toy being collected next week :)
Discussion
As of next weekend I shall be driving around in a new toy, which I think will fit in with the Pistonhead philosophy of fast unusual or bloody loud
Ive taken the plunge and bought a Westfield Seight, its running a 3.9ltr V8 fitted with a Holley 390 carb on a Offenhauser manifold, Its supposed to hit 60 in under 4 seconds and 3 secs later your over 100mph, quick enough me thinks .
Only thing is Ive got to go to Co Durham next Sunday to collect it , so that should be a fun first drive. Also I need to sell my other Westfield pretty sharpish now so if any of you know anyone who would like it please let me know.

Well done
Tyre choice and suspension set up even more crutial for the Seight
The car will be fast in any gear as you don't need the revs but you might be a little optimistic with your figures but don't try and prove me wrong take it steady for a while whilst you get used to the car and check out how sorted it is

No problem as I say it'll still be very quick
Use the torque and not the revs, depending on your gearing dropping to fourth should safely allow you to overtake a line of moving traffic, be aware that when you do someone, or two, are likely to pull out on you not expecting anything to accelerate so quickly
Despite having a yellow car with the headlights on during the day I regularly got people pulling out on me from give-ways and overtaking - motorbikes especially don't expect a car to move so quick, I used to avoid bikes in case they thought I was racing them, I've often turned the opposite way to avoid them and it's more fun to have the road to yourself
Last thing, good quality heat resistant ignition leads are need as it gets so hot under the bonnet otherwise they go brittle within 18 months

Can you all join me in praying for a fairly dry day tommorrow, just checked the route planner and weather forcast, jouney will be 5hrs 20 mins each way, forecastis not good to say the least, and as i wont be able to use the roof it could be a very long wet journey home.
But I still cant wait

What a day, Its finally parked At mine, we drove up in lovely weather. the guy who was selling the car was a really nice guy, seemed to be sad to see it go, We had only driven 10 miles home when it started to pour down, the spray was terrible and my door popped open on the A1M but I couldnt find anywhere to stop, water was coming in so hard even my pants were wet.
The car was great though, bloody fast 70 to 120 in 5th gear is amazing. and it sounds awesome.

I thought about taking my crash helmet, it was a horribloe journey home but I had a big grin on my face all the way, I bought the car without seeing it which I know is a risk but I wasnt dissapointed when I saw it for the first time, definately a car to respect, Im sure it could bite when you least expect it,
