Need some advise. Got a Charity Auction doo on Saturday and have received a list of the auction prizes in advance for a perusal.....

A couple have caught my eye,

A Full size replica Crash helmet in Schumacher's colours with an authentic (proven) autograph across the visor by Michael himself.

A 1:12 scale 2006 Ferrari F1 car again signed by Michael.

A 1:12 scale 2007 Ferrari F1 car signed by Kimi Raikkonen.

What would you expect to be the winning bid on these items in Norwich. I guess in London they would fetch more. I would envisage only being able to go for one.

Should I start a poll and then post up the actual winning bids from the night on Sunday? Is anyone actually interested ...LOL

Ohhh.... there is also an authentic autographed picture and Gold disc of Brittney Spears. Darren do you want me to bid on it for you? hehe

No idea. Decide how badly you want an item, set a limit and if it goes for more, it means you didn't want it that badly.

I know how much I can gfo to but its which one would be better. I guess the crash helmet would be more of a feature in the office but I think that would fetch more than I could go for.... frown

In that case you'll get a model of a 2CV signed by our very own 'iluvmercs', sorry!

I wouldn't associate myself with such makes! I'll give you a signed 90s Fiat Panda and that's my only offer!

Any items such as this are popular but auction price will also depend upon how many are available. If it hundreds clearly its worth less than if 10 are available. Make sure another batch are not produced next year, you get the picture.

Yeah thanks.....I know the crash helmet is number 31 of 150 and the cars are one out of 999 that were produced.
I guess there are other companies out there that would offer similar items too......

Nice to have, but for me I would rather spend the money on race memorabilia that has been actually used, like gloves or boots. IMHO they are much more of a talking point and will always be a good investment if they are from a topline driver, not so sure about repro signed. Pays your money and all that I suppose.

Right..

Schumacher crash helmet went for £1200

Signed 2006 Schumacher F1 car 1:18 scale £540

Signed 2007 Kimi Raikkinen F1 car 1:18 scale £380

So not bad but bit too high for me.....
