Rolling road day - 16th August - Stansted location - Spaces
Discussion
Another club I am heavily involved in is running a club shoot out rolling road day on 16th August (Saturday)
Being hosted by www.tcsperformance.co.uk/
We have a few spaces spare so if anyone is interested in a dyno run on their car and the club/organisers are flexible on timings so if you need a specific time slot we should be able to accomodate it - I appreciate that people not involved in the club are probably not interested in watching all the runs anyway
send me a message and we can sort out some details if you want to attend

Would they be able to give air/fuel ratios? I've just had mine mapped on a DD RR and it's quite rich midrange, I'm planning on fitting a better flowing exhaust manifold which should in theory lean things out a bit. I'd be interested to find out if it is running properly or not and being on the 16th should give me the kick up the bum to sort it out. Let me know if you do find out.

I'm sure they have wide band lambda air fuel ratio monitoring - it's one of the reasons I'm going as I need some better idea of fueling before I select which jets to change
Why not just bite the bullet and install a wideband lambda sensor? That way you can compare results before and after changing the jets so you can play with jets, tubes and fuel pressure to your hearts content.
These days widebands are cheap enough that they should be a part of everybodies tuning/diagnostic arsenal, see http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/d27... for a complete wideband lambda system for £124.99

Cos I've got a narrowband with in car digital display that gets it close enough for the moment and my EMS system still needs the signal for it - At the moment These days widebands are cheap enough that they should be a part of everybodies tuning/diagnostic arsenal, see http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/d27... for a complete wideband lambda system for £124.99

Pretty much every wideband controller on the market has an output that simulates a narrowband sensor.
Flogging your narrowband display will go a fair way to purchasing a wideband but what you could do with the techedge 2J1 is to use the simulated narrowband output for your ECU but configure one of the other outputs to be a 0-1volt that your display can read but set it up so that it displays the full range of the wideband sensor. That gives you the best of all possible worlds all at one - simulated narrowband ouput to your existing ECU, full wideband display on your existing display and the capability to log everything to a laptop. Plus if/when you upgrade your ECU you can reconfigure the outputs so that the ECU gets a full wideband signal.
Feel free drop me a line privately if you want to discuss offline.

Next trackday car I'm pretty sure I will go Emerald or similar and throttle bodies - fitting carbs was just for fun

Have you considered slinging a megajolt on there if your existing system is knackered? Chances are it'll cost no more than a decent dizzy and performance coil. In case you don't know the Megajolt is a proper 3D mappable wasted spark system, if you're prepared to build the ECU from a kit and rummage in scrapyards you can get up and running for 100 quid. Most people buy them fully built and with all the bits ready to bolt straight on but that costs a bit more.
FWIW my wife runs www.trigger-wheels.com who do the widebands, megajolts etc so if it's something you're interested in let me know and I may be able to wangle a deal for you.

Now I think it's best to take this conversation off forum - I'll send you an email this evening FWIW my wife runs www.trigger-wheels.com who do the widebands, megajolts etc so if it's something you're interested in let me know and I may be able to wangle a deal for you.

Thanks for the advice so far
Anyway back to topic
Cost for 4 consecutive runs on the dyno will be just £35
TCS performnce
Unit 2
Duck End
Birchanger
Essex
CM23 2BH
Day starts at 9.00am however if any PHr's want to partake then based on teh fact they are unlikely to want to attend all day then I should be able to organise a 1 hr window (by mutual agreement) so it can be turn up wait a max of 45mins and then on the rollers get the results and off again or stay for a while as you wish

I might be able to make this but won't be able to confirm till pretty much on the day. Can we just turn up or is it all pre-book only?
I'm not keen on "turn up on the day" - and much as I'd hate to turn someone away it really needs to be pre book mainy because once it's all done if no-one else is booked in everyone can have an early bath and go home
