Some of you got your ticket in advance so that's fine; however I know some were close to the closing date.

If you sent off your payment around the clsoing date and have not yet received your pass, Rougham Estate have just told me: 'If they have sent them in late, there's a pile Lauren is doing now! Otherwise if they have not received anything by Wednesday it means the applications have not been received - So call us on 01359 270524 so we can deal with it immediately!!'

I also asked them about a BBQ and they replied 'Safety Officer says:" Ok to use before 10am or after 5pm ie when the public are not on site(eg when camping) When using BBQ make sure there is protection between BBQ and ground to protect the grass"'

Not a whole lot of use then frown

Excuse me for butting into Johns message. Last time I was at Rougham,a couple of months back, they were not letting exhibitors off the site untill 5.00pm. This caused the usual 'Rougham snarl up' to get out. So be prepared to not leave untill 5.00pm earliest!

Looks like the H&S looneys are at it again!

I,ve been to two massive American car events this year where you could come and go as you pleased all day. There were cars moving about the event throughout the whole day. Nobody got run over, or even hurt. Why is it these 'fools' can't let the public and exhibitors look after their own safety. If it continues in this manner I can see the time when no one will wish to attend these shows to exhibit. I for one am getting a little fed up with it all.

I wouldn't worry about the leaving time. Just get in and go.

One important point though - our usual Gazebo Operative is not attending, so does anyone have a gazebo they can bring along? At Rougham we either get soaked or burnt; I'm not sure which turn it is this year.

The point I am making is that you cannot just get in and go, the officials apparently stop you leaving the site via the entrance/exit road! Whilst you and I would say curse I'm out'a here, many would'nt and then hence the Q. Just mentioning be prepared to be possibly held up.

I suspect that's not only unenforceable but possibly illegal. Any lawyers about?

If any showground gets nasty about it then the PH Roadshow will certainly never go back, and probably no-one else will either.

They tried that at Newmarket - with little success.

Agreed John, the last two occasions I have been caught in a long Q and not moved for half hour and longer. A fair number of us were grumbling about not going back to Rougham after this season ends simply because of the chaos and delay getting out. Shame really because its a very good show as we all know.
The previous event had thier emergency vehicles doing the blues and twos thing dashing to the airstrip. Apparently an light aircraft coming in had reported a problem with the undercarraige, it did land safely in the end and it woke up loads of us exhibitors. Hope for good weather.

Well not looking like a big turn out for PH on Sunday. I,ve spoken to Hannah today and she is not going. My mate Rob Smith now can't make it. Darren hasn't got his pass yet, I haven't got my pass yet !

Anyone else having doubts about this one.

I,ll see what happens over the next day or so, but if I still haven't got a pass by Friday I may well go to the AACI American car club event at Billing instead. At least there you pay on the gate at whatever time you choose and leave whatever time you choose without the H & S Nazi's trying to stop you leaving before a certain time.
