I am not local to Norfolk, other than visiting in-laws near Fakenham.

Was driving on the 1065 Friday night, keeping under 70, but making swift progress on what was a very wet road.

Car came up behind me, sat on my tail, and to be honest, I did think why do that in those conditions?

Lo behold, on came the blues and I double checked my speed, under 70, so couldn't be for speeding. It was a series of corners, so I slowed thinking of finding somewhere to pullover, and the unmarked Mondeo ST pegged it past me. I wondered if he was going after the GTi which blasted it past me a mile earlier.

I don't know unmarked cars in Norfolk, but watch out for a silver Ford Mondeo ST!!

Yup, Norfolk Police have several unmarked cars. I've seen that Silver ST around, but there is also a blue and black Mondeo ST, as well as a couple of BMW 3 series....you never who you're over taking, I guess driving

I'll remember that when I am visiting! About the only time I would even think about breaking the limit, is the 1065 from Lakenheath upto Helhoughton. A good run, with lots of overtaking opportunities, essential in the summer months of caravans ...

They also have a 3 year old Subaru, Black with Gold wheels. It patrols, the A11, from Barton Mills north quite regularly!

It's a brilliant road but, unfortunately, also a a favourite for the scam-vans to stalk....

Also, I think (not 100% certain yet) you can add a blue/grey estate to the list of unmarked ST220s operated by Norfolk Police.

And seen on telly what the Essex BiB drive unmarked, its enough to make you wince. But then again I don't expect I should get done for speeding in my little tin top, although I could get a tug on excessive smoke smokin reckon I've blown a couple of piston rings.
