Don't know why I'm excited, well it has been a slow day for me. Anyway popped into Norwich Audi this afternoon, looking for a boring euro box runaround when I saw a DB9 with a number plate that seemed familiar but couldn't think why, it was only when I came on here just now I remembered, the plate was silmilar to a certain member on here and I notice in his profile it's his dads....so hello Darrens dad!! lol - Fantastic looking car by the way.

Weird, I saw that gorgeous DB9 yesterday, you guys were next to me looking at the S5 (I was in the grey S4 cab!) which is up for sale if you're interested wink

Well it looks like we were all there!! Any others? lol.

I was in the mud-splatted S2000, I parked away from all the new shiney metal! There were so many new cars up for sale, ready to go.

Loved that white S5, I didn't look at it as it would of made come home and spend too long playing with my calculator.

So......is the S5 going to be for you?

Its Nurburgring blue although some may call it Ladyboy Blue but I like it when it's clean and polished but it's time for a change and I'm just looking for a nice comfy everyday car at the moment and no I can't afford your V8 with the miles I'm starting to do laugh Lovely colour though, what are you looking at now?

Possibly an Aston V8 Vantage - prob an 05/06 plate - they have come down to mid 50's now.

I'm not entire sure though - they were circa 70k a year ago, I know all cars depreciate but that's a hell of drop. Mrs wants a Range Rover sport - but I could be skint tomorrow so figure should go for the Aston whilst I can!!

Not in a rush to sell the S4 so will be pushed into that decision when I get a buyer.

Well....how random!
3 PHers at the same dealership, at the same time!

Leondrums, I saw (and heard) you leaving the dealership...lovely colour combo, and a nice roof colour thumbup
I pointed out to Dad that the S5 would "sound something like that", as you left hehe

I can't recall seeing your S2000 though, Paul frown They are fantastic looking cars, with the gorgeous V-Tech lick

Sadly, I'm not looking for a convertible! The S5 is fantastic. I'm a little concerned with rear seat head room, and I'll be booking a test drive, when the Audi chap gets back to me.
We also went to enquire about the R36 Passat and C63 and E63 AMG. It's amazing how the service differs between Audi, VW and Mercedes, despite them all being Robinsons, VW and Audi being top notch, Mercedes being the most unhelpful egits the world has ever seen! rolleyes

Come down to Ipswich Darren, i should be able to get you a decent drive in a c63 (and probaly the black series!) and our local dealer, who is 3 miles away from our office, will bend over backwards to sell you an AMG ;o)

Hi Gary, I may well take you up on the offer. Just got to book these Audi and VW test drives, and then you'll be hearing from me smile
My age seems to be a factor in these test drives, though. I'm 23, and VW want me to be on my own insurance for a test drive, and the Audi guy even said it may be an issue - he had to check with head office paperbag
How will Mercedes Ipswich look upon someone my age coming to test drive the cars?

laugh

I've already asked if 2 cheaper cars would be viable (one sports car, one "boring" car), but the answer came back a definate no.
I need at least 4 seats and nearly new with full warranty. The E320 will then be the summer/show car biggrin

But that's two expensive cars... I'm not following the logic here...

Why do you need nearly new with full warranty? That's a recipe for losing shedloads in depreciation! If I wanted a cheap sensible everyday car I'd take about £2,000 and log onto Autotrader or take a trip to my local car auctions.

Rather than one expensive car, have two cheaper cars. That's what I meant hehe
But Dad wants a nearly new car with a warranty.

If it was my choice, I'd buy a cheaper car and give my current car more power! evil

Darren, i am sure Merc Ipswich will be happy to cover you. I will speak to my contact, the AMG specialist in Ipswich, to check tomorrow for you. If not, you will have to drive my MD's cars on our insurance. wink

The C55 my MD just traded in, would have been perfect for you, doh!

Oh well, it's his money I suppose and he doesn't want his son in some perceived 'rustbucket deathtrap' (ie more than 3 years old). It's a common misconception but that's what keeps the dealers going!

My S-Type Jag is 7 years old with 134K miles and everyone says how nice it is. And it's worth about £4K. Me win biggrin
