About an hour from Norwich but the best with reasonable cost in East Anglia:

Hi Healey73!

Although I've not been yet, I can highly recommend Poringland Dental Surgury. They are a private-only dentist, but one friend as his family have used them for years.
The reason I can HIGHLY recommend them is because I know the owner (funnily enough he's Maurice Healy), and his family very well. He's been practising for many many years, and owned various practises in Norfolk and Suffolk. He doesn't suffer fools lightly, so rest assured, al those who work for him WILL be excellent.
The only reason I haven't used them is the distance factor - but I got thinking a journey of 45-50mins once or twice a year is worth it for a good service. Oddly enough, I'm due for a check up later this month, myself, so will be booking an appointment soon!

Just for the record, I'm switching to them because my local dentist in Watton is shockingly bad and I've had enough!

A quick internet search came up with their website: http://www.the-dentists.com/

Paul,

Don'tknow where abouts you are but I have been with Peppermint Dental in Wymondham. Its run by two women and is very relaxed and they know their stuff.

I have been private for a number of years with a few dentists in Norwich but Peppermint are quite reasonable when comparing service to price.

Here is their website...http://www.peppermintdental.co.uk/
