Mid-Late Summer SAS BBQ!

Having met a few more local PHers recently, I think it's a good time to sort out one of the infamous SAS BBQ's!

For those not lucky enough to be heading up to Scotland to see Fraser and enjoy the scenery, then I can offer the slightly more local venue of Shinfield sometime in July. I can provide a garden.... um... somewhere to park, and a bbq (Disclaimer: Suitability is dependant on how fat hungry you lot are )

Add your name to the list and any dates that you can do and i'm sure all of the other details will magically fall into place nearer the time. Newbies welcome as well as the regulars... although if you're not a regular contributor on here, or have others that can vouch for you then please PM me

Bumpety bump we go. Looking to finalise a date for this by the end of this week. Anyone else want to pop along?

Maybe a pre-bbq mini-hoon if anyone's interested

If it is low numbers and just a few of the regulars then I was thinking of possibly doing a passenger ride type thing where we take a short spin in each others cars? Not sure if it's a good idea or not but i'd be happy to take anyone for a spin in the Tuscan if they wanted.

Might be around 30th depending on how you feel about children tagging along . In other news I am doing one late Aug, keeping it on facebook for the mo to regulate it a bit. Dave are you on there, never got your surname so cant search. Steve, I thought I had you on my FB already but can't find you to add to the invitees... have you gone into FB hibernation?

TC - I'll add you on FB as I think i've seen your name crop up through Jacks account.
I had heard you were organising one but hey... you can never have too many burgers so I thought i'd look to host one too!
Looks like the 30th is the best date.....

More than happy for people to bring their kids along so no worries there! The shed is pretty big so i'm sure they'll all fit in if we put some weight behind closing the door


Honestly though, the garden here is a decent size and secure (well, it's got a gate and we're not on a main road).
Plus there's also a playground in the estate although they'll have to fight me to get on the swings

Time for an update

BBQ is still on, date is 30th July. On the basis of the larger SAS bbq going on in August which will most likely be a little more hic I thought we'd plan this one over lunchtime/afternoon... starting from 12.30ish onwards. Kids etc more than welcome!

If the numbers are relatively low then I have a decent bbq so that's sorted. I can also supply most of the soft drinks, a few beers, and a fair amount of food as well Unless anyone has a Costco account?

So it'll just be business as usual.. bring a bit of food, and a couple of drinks and everyone will be sorted

Location is 2mins for J11 of the M4. Please can everyone send me a pm and i'll send on the address etc.

Last but certainly not least, i'm definitely thinking a little pre-BBQ hoon is in order. I'll sort a route.. probably about an hr or so. What does everyone reckon to doing a shorter route, but twice. Once driving your own car and once as a passenger in someone elses? Thought it might be a good idea to get to experience someone elses car? Not really thought it through fully... but any thoughts?
