Hello Thames Valleyers

I live in Wokingham but work in west london. The commute by car is getting to be total pig. Train doesn't really work as I'm a fair distance from the station and when you combine parking plus rail fair on top of the awkward journey, it's a PITA. I'm looking at some shared office space in the local area to work from for 3/4 days a week and then do 1 /2 days a week in the office.

Any suggestions? Everytime I shoot to wickes in Bracknell, there seems to be a ton of empty offices. TVP would be ideal - have pinged a mail to Regus @ TVP to see what they can do on shared office space.

Working from home only half works as I don't have a home office to work from and the wife and kids are back @ 3PM.

Have thought of building some sort of summer house type office in the garden as there is room but we have only just moved in and our savings are going towards a full gut and refit of the kitchen before baby #3 arrives in Sep smile

I have a deal with Regus in that I get a desk for 10 days/month for about £150/month. I find working at home difficult once the children arrive back from school and so this seemed a good solution. 10 days/month is 2 or 3 days a week which is great for me as i'm normally out of the office meeting clients etc the rest of the time.

Downside is you dont get the same desk, can't leave stuff behind, are often shoved around into whereever they have space, but if you want a more permanent solution with them it gets very expensive! I think the package i have is called the Platinum package....

hope that helps

I work out of Regus in TVP (on the rare days I'm in the office) - it is their busiest branch and space is rare.

Say hello to Waqas, the manager wink

Edited to add - there are a couple of Regus offices in Bracknell, and one in Green Park too.

There is an enterprise centre on the old TRL site in Crowthorne - Small offices serviced through a common reception - may be of help.

The company I work for here in Crowthorne has a number of empty desks (our work force has shrunk over the past few years, but we're stuck in a lease until April next year for two office suites in this building so we rattle around a bit).

If you don't have much luck through proper office renting places and some space here might be of interest then drop me a message and we can chat further smile

I'd avoid Regus at all costs.

I used to work in the Green Park one.
