Helicopter over Reading early this morning

Presume it was Police. Bloody loud at dawn for about 30min. Woke me up you bds!

Any idea what it was? I live near the river in central Caversham and it literally sounded like it was passing over my flat at times. Could easily have been over the town centre though or even further down the river as sound travels up it surprisingly well.

Having moved out of Caversham to West Berks last year, I don't miss it at all.

Just have to put up with this (but not at night!)

I've lived in this flat for a year, and previous to that Oxford Rd for 3yrs, and I've never heard anything like that fking thing last night!

It was hovering over Tilehurst this afternoon for around 30mins right above my house. It was quite low aswell, only about 100m up

Bloody thing was back again at half three this morning hovering around for 20mins!!

I'd of been furious if It had woken me up but apparently I'm a heavy sleeper. Took the wife ages to get back to sleep

I'm not far from the Kennet and we often get a chopper overhead late at night when some drunken muppet falls in the River. Were the spots on?

Sad that i know this but i work in the industary.
The picture is of an ec 135. This is the preferred aircraft of the local police forces. I can not be sure if the picture is of a copper chopper due to colouring and markings not shown. if it had a yellow top cowling then it would have been.

No, didn't have the spot light on it was alot lighter than the pic shows.

There's a family in Sulhamstead near David's house and the guy takes a helicopter to work every morning in London, not sure if it might be that?
