Does anyone have any experience of Knaphill Coachworks ? I'm looking at taking the Mini there following an accident earlier this week and want to make sure they do a good job.

Cheers Les, funnily enough DK autos were the preferred repairers for my insurance company. Thing is, Knaphill Coachworks is literally around the corner from me, so I was hoping to hear about any experiences people have had with them.

Have only got quotes from them but have used Austin sheward in Woking by ECP opposite the old dairy building. More recently used AMR on Red Road near Camberley.

They are around the corner from me aswell!

They are generally good but the quality varies a little, make sure you inspect the repair before you accept the car back.

They treat restorations jobs differently to insurance repaid. The resto jobs get a lt more care and attention, where as the insurance jobs are done as quickly as possible to maximise profit.

Edited to add now I remember u. You have changed you screen name!

Thanks Steve, they told me that the repairs would take 2 weeks (which sounded a little long) but its good to hear they can do a good job.

Edit: You seem to know a lot about them, did they do some work for you ?

2nd Edit wink Yes, the screen name changed when the Leon went frown

Have repaired a mate scooby. They done a great job, but it was a not done through the insurance. His observations were that they did the minimum to get the normal euro boxes passed the insurance inspection. But that is with most repairers, profit margin and all
