Reading Real Ale and Jazz Festival 21st-23rd July

Just a little heads up for the Real Ale and Jazz Festival in Reading 21st-23rd of July.

I was thinking of popping down on the Friday evening, maybe a bit of food somewhere before hand if anyone else is game ?

Yep quote form the site : " Don't worry we have drinks for all tastes. If you want to enjoy the music at the festival but think it's not for you because you don't like ale, then don't worry. Alongside the main bar we also serve Becks bottled lager, cider, a selection of wines and champagne and a range of soft drinks from our wine bar. To eat we have a range of concessions including a burger bar, the ever popular Hog Roast and new this year Pieminister's great range of tasty pies. There is also a selection of chocolate at the wine bar."

Just a suggestion, anyone fancy the age ol' favourite Sweeney Todds Pie Shop which is within walking distance of the venue (which is just over the bridge by the Railway station)..... or TGI Friday which is even closer ?

That was a good laugh, having a bit of a hangover whilst trying to get ready to attend a wedding you've been aware of for about a year wasn't the best plan though!

Lesson for the evening was, don't pay £10 to get in to a Jazz and Ale festival when it's about to shut.

Great night watching the grown ups taking the jazz dancing waaaaaaay too seriously.
