I have had a Gas BBQ for 4 years now all is working well, but the metal heat distribution place has seen better days.

The BBQ didnt come with Lava rocks, but is there any reason why i can not add these on top of the metal plate to help with heat distribution and even the cooking heat.

The BBQ is big enough to cook 50 burgers in one go and i dont really want to buy a new BBQ.

Thanks

I found parts online when bits of my BBQ needed replacing, far cheaper than buying a new one. Might be worth considering.

I'm going to give it a go.

The BBQ maker has gone bust, don't really know wher I can get spares.

Would it be worthspeaking to a fabricator to see if they could replicate your existing plate?
