3k What car - Someone is looking to take away my MX5 tonight

Well as some kind man may be running away with my car tonight I will need to buy a new car on Saturday.

Ive shopped around and can find the following;
Golf GT TDI
Puma 1.7 Thunder
Focus 1.8 MP3
a Volvo V70 D5

but I'm struggling to find anything interesting. I don't want to be running around all day looking at loads of cars I ideally want to look at one of two tops which means the golf whilst there are loads there does appear to be a lot of dogs for the money.

my only requirements are
4 seats (but not 4 doors or comfortable rear seats)
Space to fit a snowboard in it
30ish mpg
will be used as a daily so some semblance of reliability

Persoanlly i would go for volvo as they are well specced, easily have enough room and do go liek stink!!

Volvo c70 is the answer

Preferably a T5 but may struggle with 30mpg ....... Not far off though.
