Can anyone suggest a good garage near Reading for working on my 182? Any specialists that people are aware of?

Head on over to cliosport.net or renaultsport.co.uk

I can't remember the name but I used to go to a specialist in Portsmouth

Cheers, I had seen the usual names been recommended on there. A more local one is a place called JMS in Uxbridge. Was just curious to see if there was anyone closer.

Theres no specialist in or near Reading that I'm aware of. I used to go all the way to Portsmouth to use Ren Tec. Not sure it was worth the hassle looking back, but they are a good bunch and very reasonable compared to a main dealer.

I'm planning to get a 182 at some point. Think i'll take it to a place in Reading on Lovelock Rd called AC Mechanical for servicing. They put a new gearbox and clutch in my old 172 and seem like a decent outfit.

Thanks John, will keep that in mind. Mine could do with a service really hence asking. Cam belt was done a couple of years ago but I want it checked over.

My brother took his 182 Cup to JMS for the cambelt. He was very pleased with them.

Theale Motor Works - used them when I had my 172 Cup. Seemed pretty good.

I take my Clio (ok, it's nothing fancy) to Steadfast Autos near Wokingham - they are an independent Renault specialist, although their website doesn't mention that. I've been a couple of times now and they seem very reasonable.
