Avro Lancaster and Spitfire

Whilst driving home from work along the A404(M) / A4 I saw an Avro Lancaster and flanked by a pair of Spitfires. Any idea what they were doing?

There were turning around pretty much directly over the old Shire Hourse centre.

No idea but I saw the Lancaster last weekend when it flew over Brands Hatch. An old MIG also few over. Not sure where they were flying from/to though.

Thanks for that, seems they were doing a fly-past over White Waltham today.

They were also at the Bournemouth show. Will be there again today.

What time did you see them?

I saw "something" yesterday evening around 19.30 through the gap in the tees looking south. It was something large flanked by 2 or 4 smaller, they banked tightly away from where I was stood in the garden. All over in seconds.

If it was for Bournemouth, aren't we a little far north?

They came over to White Waltham for Jim Beagley's marmoreal party.

I must be getting old as I'm still hung over but what a night....
