Pub/Restaurant Near M3/M25

Hi all. I'm not normally on this part of the forum but I'm hoping someone can help me out with a recommendation for a nice foody pub or restaurant somewhere near junction 2/3/4 of the M3. The occasion is for a first 'proper' date so I'm looking for something fairly relaxed and intimate but not too showy or pricey.

The problem is that we're both driving quite a long way after work on Thursday to meet up and we're coming from opposite directions - this is about the halfway point. It's not an area either of us know so I don't know where to start looking. Ideally it needs to be fairly easy to find from the motorway - something along the lines of a country pub might fit the bill so that we're not getting lost in the towns or struggling to find a car park. Any help would be very much appreciated as I don't want to muck this up!

Brickmaekrs might be a little bit expensive - for similar food but slightly less expensive, try the Half Moon in Windlesham. Just off Junction 2, like the Brickmakers.

By far--My local in Frimley Green The Olde Wheatsheaf great food, service, not too heavy on the pockets and easy to find.
Ascot area there is a beautiful country pub in Cheapside called the Thatched Tavern-low ceiling and always the log fire is on.
On the A30 in Windlesham is the Windmill thats very nice and easy to find.

Brilliant. PH comes up trumps again! I spent quite a while looking for places last night and didn't find any of these. Hopefully this won't be a one off event and I'll be making use of them all before too long! Thanks everyone.

Going to bump this because on the recomendation above i popped into Olde Wheatsheaf with a friend last night, despite being rammed they found us a table, the service was great and the food was bloody lovely, Not had a burger that good for a long time!

Highly recommended.
