Oh?

Which transmitter are you on? I'm up the road in Sunningdale, running off Crystal Palace.

Ahh ok. I get it now smile

Freeview HD has been transmitting for months from CP. But the digital signals are not running at full strength until they turn off the analogue signals in a few months time.

I get breakup on some channels a few times a night, so I'm looking forward to the full switchover and full power thumbup

I gave up on Freeview and went to Freesat when we couldn't even get an analogue signal in Crowthrone; and no indication on the Freeview website that we would get anything until after switchover. That was back in 2008 apart from when there is a thunderstorm about it's been very reliable.

I'm in Finchampstead and our signal is terrible. With analogue we get poor reception on most channels and no CH5 at all. With Digital we again get poor reception and don't get BBC at all. This is all running from the Hannington transmitter so I'm not surprised it's a poor signal.

We just gave up on it all and installed Sky.

What would you recommend then K - from your local HD experience is it worth swapping now in time for Christmas? or leave it until after the switch-off which would then put us firmly into the 2012 model range.

It sounds like a good excuse for me to come and have a look, then buy you a pint......? smile
