Local scrap yards?

Anyone recommend any?
I'd like to get a scrap value for my car so I no where to start the no-reserve ebay auction from
Are they likely to accommodate weighing my car but not actually handing it over, or am I going to get told to jog on?
Its for sale in the classifieds for not much, but its only going to be of interest to someone who wants to repair it or break for parts I reckon. Had two guys looking for a project car check it out. They didn't want that much of a project
I just want rid so feel I may as well weigh it in and get my insurance premium back. Its a heavy old girl after all! (300CE)

John, try these guys : http://www.car-spares-berkshire.co.uk/a1-scrap-met...
Only in Wokingham, havn't weighed a car in with them before but have bought a few parts off of them. Ok to deal with in relative scrap yard terms
I think the usual is around £150 for cars give or take abit for weight.... I wouldn't imagine scrap value being more than £200 unless they break it for spares.

Another vote for A1 they seem easy enough to deal with, I also considered this for our Scenic, ended up getting double the scrap value on fleabay. From memory it was around £100/150per tonne. I liked the scrap idea as there is no comeback down the line, especially if you know parts are likely to fail (gearboxes etc).
