Advanced driver training
Discussion
Hi All,
Does anybody have any suggestions for local(ish) advanced driver training? I am after something that teaches me to drive safely, quickly and smoothly on the road. I have done a bunch of track orientated stuff and it was useful for road driving, but VERY track focused.
Also, is there a local(ish) skid pan type thing?
Thanks,
Marty

Speak to Kenny Roberts at ATC driver training. Although they might be a little far (based in Essex) I've been trained by this guy and he is second to none. I really cannot praise this guy enough, and no I have no affiliation Does anybody have any suggestions for local(ish) advanced driver training? This, absolutely!!I took a ride drive full day course, complete with an hour on an airfield, a few months after buying my Chim. As you know I am no spring chicken, but I learnt so much about road craft and how the car handles whilst pressing on. The time spent on the airfield was used to find the limits of car and driver - both of which happened (oh and we did some fancy J-turns too). He was the only passenger I have had who suggested I should be driving faster!
I can't recommend the instructor highly enough, and it transpired he is a PHer too.
