Hi,

I am looking for a 3 bed property to let in maidenhead and wondering if Furze Platt area is any good for families? Properties are bit cheaper in Furze Platt.

As a sweeping generalisation, the area is cheap for very good reasons. There are lots of council and ex-council houses and the inhabitants that go with them. Other parts there are lots of high occupation/over-extended/paved front gardens for 6 cars type places.

But really it depends where you are looking at as there are also some fairly nice new-build private developments and areas away from the nasty bits which would be good for a family.

It's about to get a lot more houses built on the old Taylows printing site, so be careful where you buy as traffic and facilities will be busier. There are some very nice areas towards the Linden Ave, Courthouse Road area.
