Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, lady boys and girls.

As many of you know Mr Kovac and I have bought a track car so we thought we better use the bloody thing.

The TD we have chosen to attend seems to be a favourite for most of us, cheap and noise 'friendly'-ish for some of our noisier hooligans.

The event is :

17th of Feb'
Brandshatch Indy open pitlane (Club MSV)
105db
£149 , £25 extra driver fee
http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/event-details.aspx...

I will be booking it up soon for Josh and I, It would be great to see the regulars aswell as new faces come along. A Facebook general message will be sent out aswell.

Cheers
Jacko.

If the golf is ready this will be a good chance for a shake down.

Tempted but can't really afford a day off over next few weeks.

Very much up for one at Brands later this year.

Hmm. If I have the car back in time (lots of mods) I'll definitely make it along.

Here goes:

1. Full exhaust with alunox manifolds.
2. Motorsport fuel pump & wiring.
3. Everything heat-wrapped.
4. Hard pipes.
5. Pro-alloy intercooler.
6. New gearbox, linkage, with oil cooling.
7. Front aero
8. Floor removed and replaced/resealed.
9. Discs/pads all round.
10. M400 seats

Should be around 420 and monster torques once it has been mapped.

If anyone has any food they wish to donate, all gladly received over the next few months as I won't be able to afford to eat as well.

Perhaps I was being a bit pessimistic about my likely work load next month. Think I might get involved with this biggrin

Good man, would be great to get as many people out on track. Maff also expressed some interest towards it.

I may be in Croydon so will see if I can make time to pop along as a spectator/mechanic. My charges are very reasonable smile

I'm out. Can't get day off work (my line manager is away that week).

Nevermind, that's £200 towards getting my bike back on the road at least! Have a good one - stay on the island! driving

Actually, I'm quite annoyed I can't make this now hehe

Do you guys want to book another for March? Brands or Combe perhaps? I really want to do Cadwell sometime this year but that is quite a slog and would mean accommodation for one night. Driving the 205 all that way might be quite 'interesting' but needs must!

Indeed, let me know if you find a good deal.... I found Combe quite boring so wouldn't be preferable to go back. Would be well up for a Silverstone GP or Rockingham.

On another note I'd like to do the 'ring and a trip to Wales in the S3 at some point this year.

Well I've never driven Combe myself so wouldn't mind having a go. A day at Brands would be good to get to know the 205 before going somewhere else, even though I have done that track a few times now.

Javelin have Combe 31st March for £139 Open Pitlane.

A quick scan tells me Rockingham is quite expensive and Silverstone very! Of the two I'd prefer Rockingham anyway; don't think Silverstone would suit my car that much (high speed/power circuit).

Makes me think spending a bit more on fuel and accomodation is worth it to get to do Cadwell. Its just whether you can spare the time really. Reading it described as 'your favourite B-road on steroids' and 'a mini 'Ring' really gets the juices going! biggrin

Long weekend in Wales is a must this year mate.

Silverstone Stowe is superb for smaller cars!
Never done Silverstone GP but in an MX5, even one with 245bhp it just seems too big & wide to be fun.
Been to Coombe a few years ago and to be honest didn't really enjoy it that much.
Goodwood on the other hand is great. Bloody expensive but worth it!
