Recommend me an MOT tester please

Can anyone recommend me a tester that knows their onions around the Wycombe area. My usual place insists my '93 Eunos needs a cat, I don't want to argue with him as I have a good relationship with him and he is fair with my other cars.

Get him to check in his MOT testers book. My '93 Mk1 Golf Gti cab has no cat either but when you check in the book with the DX engine code it's exempt from the CAT test.

Mine had a cat but I've put a decat pipe on. Is yours the same?

No, mine never had a CAT. If it was fitted with one then under the new regs it needs to be fitted, regardless of whether it passes without or not.

I always use Chiltern Tyres at Hazlemere crossroads. The manager, Paul Lucas, is a car enthusiast (used to race a Triumph Spitfire until his daughter wrecked it) and is a member of the TR Register. My Westfield goes there (going tomorrow actually) and they are fair and firm but well informed.

ETA: Just got back with my new MoT certificate (or what passes for it now).
