Can anyone recommend a reasonably local vehicle valuation engineer please.

Berkshire/Hampshire/Surrey area preferable for convenience.

Thanks

ETA Preferably classic / specialist cars as a speciality.

Never heard of the title "vehicle valuation engineer", Do you require a vehicle inspection, or just a vehicle valuation? You looking to buy or sell?
If you put details of the car up you should get a rough idea of value on here.

Mark.

Valuation following an accident.

Require advice, and possibly a full valuation in order to arrive at a fair valuation with the insurers.

The car isn't listed in most guides.
In any case, the guides pay more attention to mileage rather than rarity, condition, investment and storage habits.

These are far more critical when valuing some cars; in this case mine.

Will look at the site all the same thanks, just in case smile

I used an engineer years ago when having an MG Midget valued following theft leading to a write off.
It assisted me in having the settlement raised from an initial offer of around £1000 to £3200.
A substantial difference, but one the insurers readilly agreed to once the car and it's history had been fully evaluated.

This is something you can do yourself, while it may be harder due to smaller numbers around, you can put together a dossier of the same cars as yours for sale and recently sold pointing out what yours may have over the others to make it worth more. Each time they offer an amount that is too low refer them to your dossier and ask them to find a car equal to yours for the amount they are offering. Just keep persisting, ultimately you have arbitration to hopefully resolve the difference should you still not get you are after.

Thanks. Entirely agree.
A stack of recent bills, photos of each property I lived in (and garage that stored the car), very short list of same model cars offered for sale at much higher prices...
I am just looking for some extra weight.
It's worth the effort as the under valuation is likely between 3-4k.
