My brother needs a snotter to transport him around for the next few months before he goes overseas teaching.

Only requirements are Estate, fair order, MOT & Tax must expire after September....

Anyone know of any? Many thanks in advance.

I am about to take pictures of and list for sale a 51 Plate 2002 MK4 Golf Estate SE TDI 130.

Its done a massive 225k but its just had new brakes all round as well as a recent timing belt and a clutch/DMF at 200k. Just been though an MOT so its got a full 12 months with no advisorys.

They do hold there value though so would be looking for something approaching £2k

Edit to add: I do know this sounds like a ripoff or overhopeful value, but if anyone can find a Mk4 TDI 130 Golf Estate for less then 2k anywhere I am prepared to rethink it.

Based on this, surely yours is worth £1k tops as a private sale?

Cheers, and cheers Eddie - he's just got in contact with me saying he's identified some Mondeos near him...

So many thanks all, as you were!

To be fair that is the cheapist I have seen. Although looking at the pictures alone mine is in somewhat better condition then this one (no dent in the boot lid, battery cover not broken, gear gater not ruined etc), but looks like I better have another look round at the price! Thanks

Just to follow this up.

Advertised the Golf, at £1895 and within 19hrs of putting the advert on eBay I had a deposit for the full price.
The couple who bought it had looked at a few and were more then happy with the car and the price.
They have since collected it with no hassle and no issue.

Its not always about having the cheapest one sometimes its more about having one that’s worth the money.

Advert for reference, now sold.
