People flashing their hazards

Today some idiot in a VW did a lunatic overtake on me, into the path of oncoming traffic who didn't seem amused. Once in front of me, s/he put their hazards on for a couple of flashes.

Is this supposed to mean something?

My best guess is it means "I'm a cock", but I suspect they meant something else

lol, be nice if they were but sadly I can't imagine they were sorry for their awful driving.

Mostly I get happy reactions when out for a fun drive. Very occasionally you get some idiot like that who seems to want to prove they can go faster than I can, and thats fine by me I just let them pass on by. This was really aggressive though, which made me wonder if it was some sort of challenge.

OFC it could just be their late braking meant the ABS kicked in and flashed the indicators for them, which would be sad at that sort of speed but then it was just some cheap dub hatchback with some stickers on

Today I did an overtake and the tt in the VW sped up and tried to force me into oncoming traffic, he got a lot more than a flash of the hazards from me.

Second time it's happened this week, some people seem to have a real issue with being overtaken.

It's a common thing with London taxis I think, don't see it very often in Berkshire.
