I wonder if anyone knows of anything.

After a long wrangle with the council we are losing our "yard" where we store our race cars and truck(s).

If anyone knows of any storage with outside parking, ideally on the A4 corridor between say Theale and Newbury, I would love to hear from you, but we have been on several wasted trips so only confirmed suggestions please.

Ideally we would have inside parking for 4 or 6 cars, and outside parking for a transit size vehicle and maybe a larger 7.5t lorry.

Oh, and we do pay rent!

Any assistance MUCH appreciated.

Mike

Mike.
Apologies as this is not a 'confirmed' suggestion, but the 2 car type places I can think of in that neck of the woods that maybe worth having a chat with are -
Richard Thorne Classic Cars (Morgan dealer) here - http://www.rtcc.co.uk/contact
and Auto Integrale, the Lancia Integrale specialist here - http://auto-integrale.co.uk/contact_us.htm
Maybe they'll know of something or be able to help as they'll need to store cars themselves, I presume.
Worth a try?
Good luck with your search.
Jon

There's a small industrial estate (5 units?) just outside Pangbourne; our local independent LR mechanic just moved from there to bigger premises. Old farm buildings now used for light industrial; I think his old unit's still empty.

From memory it's owned by Sulham Estate - you could contact the estate office on 01189 842491.

Saw a big 'To Let' sign on the A4 between Hungerford and Newbury just after a village called 'Halfway'. Looked to be a number of buildings and hard standing... I was driving a bit too fast to write down the number but have a drive past... it's on the North side of the road, Newbury side of the village.

thanks Mike; called a few of those "to let" numbers but they are mostly commercial property letting agencies just using the road space to advertise; got offered 20,000 square ft which I think is a *tad* large for the 3 or 4 cars we are looking to store!! ... but will get a mate of mine who lives out there to do a drive by and get the number; thannks for looking.

That used to be Wessex Recovery's yard. They got into some controversy a few years ago with Thames Valley Police (http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/2009/old-news-article-11515) and appear to have moved or ceased trading.

Let me know if you want the number, I only live 15 or so minutes from there and don't mind popping over.
