Moving to Aldershot Rd, Fleet - any thoughts?
Discussion
I live in pondtail just across reading road which is a very nice area. Although I am moving next week. I have lived there for 11 years and never had any trouble at all. I will miss living there.
Aldershot road can be a bit busy but still not too bad for a small town in the south. I have not heard of any problems. You have good access to the canal, and fleet pond nature reserve. Fleet is a nice small town although it is no good for shopping if yopu want to buy anything other than daily stuff. I can recommend the butcher on the end of Aldershot road. Phil normally serves and knows his stuff.
Fleet is a nice place to live, I have spent 48 years living in or around Fleet. But know the south of England is just a bit too busy for me so I am off up north. I will miss Fleet.

I live very close to Aldershot Rd, it's nicer the closer to town / the canal you get. As has been said, the tyre place on the corner complete with collection of cars with smashed windows is the only real let down. Fleet pond is ok, but you can walk round it pretty quickly and it's often busy at weekends. Head over to Ceasers Camp - acres of woods, hills and heathland - great for biking (I am off there this morning)
Fleet is a very nice place to live, very quiet and pretty much zero crime. It is very boring though - but I love It as I work in central London so the peace and quiet is welcomed.
Property is expensive, as is council tax etc - but that's all part of living in Hart. The other side of town is nicer, an area known as the blue triangle.
If you need any car work done, head over to see Tommy at TK Autotech, at the top corner of Kings Rd.
