Hey there.

I'm a Scotland based spotter but in 12 days I will be making a week-long trip down south to London and Swansea. Obviously car spotting and dealerships will be a major focus of mine and I was really excited to hear about Super Vettura with the Koenigsegg's and Spyker's and Zonda's etc.

The question I have about it is do you have to make an appointment like with Bob Forstner or can you just turn up and ask in person for permission to take photos?

Thanks.

I drive pass there on a weekly basis, just seems to have a couple cars on the forecourt of an old workshop. Would suggest give a call might have a hidden warehouse of cars somewhere. Would suggest visting Mananello in Egham, but they have the builders in.

Do the cars outside vary week by week?
I'll call tomorrow to find out. I have been tempted by the Egham dealership but I'm on a tight budget so I'll only be able to visit 1 of those. I'll also be visiting Romans Interntional but Banstead station is ok for London travelcards.

Thanks.

Super V and Marenellos are 5 minutes drive from each other, Marenellos is currently being refurbed so the veiwing area is massively reduced.

As for the Super V cars, sometimes you might get a Zonda F, a CCX-R, Rolls, and a Spyker, sometime you might get a Gumbella Cayanne but that is part of the fun. I have chatted a few times outside with the owner when he has had the really nice cars there and everyone is very friendly.

It occurs to me i haven't been past for a couple of weeks so i might take the scenic route home tonight.

And i have to add, I know they are planning a refurb at Super Vettura as well although i really like the randomness of it, it's just a lockup on the corner with some amazing cars outside.

Hello,

You are always welcome to come down and have a look. The display on the front is very dependent on the weather. When it is raining we generally have most of the really exciting things inside.

If you would like to call or email before you visit then the details are:

e- James.Huntley@Supervettura.com

Have a safe trip!

p.s. OMGUS - I'm pleased you enjoy the variation in our stock!

Kind Regards,

James

Hey

Thanks for replying. I'm looking forward to seeing the cars cos I've never seen a Koenigsegg, Spyker or a Pagani before. It will be some time before 11am that day when I turn up.

I was under the impression that Supervettura didn't have a showroom and that it was the guys that left Broughtons just took away their customers with them which is why they have Zondas, Spykers etc. I've driven past there once and def didn't see any of the supercars that they advertise which made me wonder where they keep them all or whether they are just clients cars. Romans is def the one to go to I live near there and go in there from time to time bought a car there a good few years ago as well, you don't need an appointment and they are friendly guys and you can just wander around the showroom and the forecourt pretty relaxed. They also had a Spyker on the forecourt the other week! Very odd looking thing! Have been to Maranello a few times as well which is worth going to. Apart from that there isn't too much to shout about around this area.

You'll be lucky if you see anything good at the moment. For the whole of summer I've not seen anything interesting outside (this relates tot he weather point above I guess). There's an R8 but I see one of those every day anyway. Here's a pic I took a few months ago of the lot, it still looks like this now but they have a sign instead of the wood:

Not sure how true this is if you came by today and pretty much anyday during this summer you would have seen;

Koenigsegg REVO
Koenigsegg Edition
Pagani Zonda F Clubsport Roadster
Spyker C8 Spyder
Lamborghini Murcielago
Rolls Royce Drophead
Rolls Royce Silver Dawn
Mercedes SL55 AMG
Mercedes S63 AMG
Audi R8 V10
Porsche Gemballa 650
Range Rover Sport Cosworth

Not such a shabby line up...

Building may look crappy but the people are nice (even if I do say so myself) and the cars quite special.

If you come to a British GT race meeting, (Only one left this year at Donington at the end of Sept) there are always a group of supercars parked in the paddock. It varies depending on the meeting but in the past we've had a Koenigsegg, an Enzo, Zonda's, A Gumpert Apollo, Mclarens, various other Lamborghini's and Ferrari's etc. I think over the season we've seen at least one of everything at some point. And becuase it's the Gt championship there are plenty of nice cars on track too!

I love that Zonda. cloud9

I had never had a chance to see one up close and then during the summer i got a few good chances to have a mooch around it, stunning when you see it in the metalcarbon fibre.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Guess I'll be keeping an eye on the weather forecasts for next week then lol. The days I'll be in London will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as Monday 24th so it'll be one of those days when I WILL be making the train journey out. Another quick opinion question, which Ferrari showroom would you say is better? Kensington or Egham?

I guess I've been unlucky with the times I'm there then, since I drive past it about three times a week. The Rangie, Porsche, Maserati and R8 are always there but I've never seen the Zonda frown

Guess I got ridiculously lucky then! Spyker C8 Spyder, red R8 V10, Gemballa Cayenne, Landy Zulu in the forecourt, Zonda and CCX-R inside and the Revo out the back. Thanks SuperVettura biggrin
