Bodyshop recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in the TV&S area please.

I've seen AMR listed in the SAS Directory but as they're a bit far away I want to see if there's anywhere nearer to Reading. I seem to remember Specialised Paintwork mentioned previously but they seem to get some mixed reviews? Excel Body Repair were also mentioned on the Porsche forum, does anyone have any experience of them?

No help really apart from I just got my Boxster back from AMR after a bumper repair and respray, paint trim and fit of front and rear splitters. Happy with the work as usual.

Specialised did a good job in terms of the paint, sadly they damaged the interior trim in my 355 then denied it was them so I won't be going back. They're reasonably expensive too. If you've a specialist car I'd seek out somebody who knows how to dismantle/ reassemble correctly

Again I always use AMR

The other week he re-spayed the front bumper on my Jaguar XKR, the usual stone shot blasting

The other year he did a full bare body paint job on it, even did a proper engine bay prep and paint

Panel-wise in Addlestone are the company my Lotus Indy always use and they did a lovely job on my Elise.

355, I don't want to get involved with a company like that. Their lack of integrity is enough to put me right off. I've had a poor experience of two supposedly 'reputable' bodyshops so don't want to get involved with anyone who isn't honest, straight forward or decent.

That's interesting. I heard quite a few good things about them but I guess, like any company, they can get it wrong from time to time.

Spec Paint & Excell both good B/shops. Excell boss used to work for Spec Paint. Both well experienced with Porsches. Paintwork from both is excellent. (Sunnyside Auto's to throw another one in)

FWIW - picked up my car from Excel yesterday after bonnet respray. Very positive experience and very happy with the result.

Tyrone at Excel used to work for me for many years, Did his time at Spec Paint, they laid him off and he came to me.
He went back to Spec paint when I called it a day after 7 or so years.
