Decent Restaurant near Basingstoke?
Discussion
Hi - Looking for a decent restaurant near Basingstoke for this Wednesday evening - not looking for michelin stars, but good quality food where we can actually have a fairly quiet evening (rarely without the kids!)
Haven't been to the Sun in Dummer since its been taken over so not sure if thats as good as it used to be - any suggestions welcome - don't want to be miles away but wondering if there are any little gems of pubs in the surrounding villages perhaps?
Not fussed on any particular style, so general I guess!
Thanks

Wellington Arms, Baughurst - close thread (if you can get a table!)

Not cheap, but quality is very high - more of a restaurant than a pub.

I thought this was the one on the Reading road!
I guess it's too late to suggest the Game Keepers in Marpledurwell? http://www.thegamekeepers.co.uk/
Next time then
