Lawn replacement / garden work

Can anyone recommend a decent lawn / garden guy? The house has a front and rear space that needs hacking back and starting again.

My friend's Dad does gardening. He's a semi retired older chap though, so don't know how heavy a job or how far he goes, but he's based around Worcester Park area.
