I need a thermostat replaced on a 2009 Audi TTS, and the local Audi dealership quoted an eye watering £548, and absolutely wouldn't budge. Therefore, I'd be keen to know if anyone could recommend a place that is known to do a decent job and not charge half a grand to fit a £30 part. I live near Shepperton, but am regularly in Woking, so anywhere around those areas would be great.

Cheers.

Steven.....
Not exactly around the corner I know, but if Reading isn't too far, then this place comes recommended on here (& by myself)......

Different car I know, but on my old 2008 Mk 5 Golf GTI I paid £220 to have the thermostat replaced (inc VAT). I seem to recall its a bugger to get to and involved taking a few bits apart, hence labour.

Yeah to be fair, from what I've read it does sound like a massive pain to do... But when combined with main dealer labour rates it just seems a mad price.

I used to use 4 Rings when I had my S4. They're in Dartford but come out to you.

The Phirm is about 25 miles from Shepperton, but they are excellent, very obliging, knowledgeable, and reasonable. The owner used to lend me his personal cars when I took mine in. Speak to Tim:
