BMW Specialist - Reading

Morning Folks

Any recommendations of a good BMW specialist in the Reading area please?

I've got some basic work that needs doing on my m135i (discs & pads) but potentially some more specialist items as well like fitting M4 LCAs and TS.

I've looked at Grovesnor a couple of times but every time they literally quote more than BMW..... and also didn't seem to know that my preferred disc & pad suppliers literally make the OE items and advised me not to use them. Bit odd, but no biggie in the grand scheme of things.

None locally I've come across but a bit further afield is PC Autocare in Lydiard Millicent near Swindon 01793772542.
Stuart really knows his stuff and will drop you back to Swindon station if necessary.
Agree with your comment about Grosvenor.
They did a pre-purchase inspection on a car for me and failed to pick up the fact it smoked!
We're not talking about a puff of smoke but a proper cloud after it had been idling when hot.
To say I was under-whelmed just doesn't cover it!!

Yes, I've been going there for 4 years now - excellent!

Used them years ago when I had a 328i sport. Glad to see they are still good guys!

Oh hallo there!

Just this moment had the INSP1 quote from Stuart @ PC Autocare - £350, including the valve clearances. Not sure I'm going to beat that for the M!

Ive heard very good things about this guy from a elderly friend that has had BMW's since year dot and has been using this guy for like 20yrs.

I've had good experiences with TWG in the past but its hard getting an appointment at short notice. Currently my preferred specialist is K&M in Windsor - great bunch of guys and accommodating to fit you in short notice if you are having issues.
