Mrs ZJ and I are having some friends coming this w/e from oop North, after the long journey they want to tire their off spring out in a pub with an indoor play area.

Easier said than done.. Not having kids I don't have a clue where the nearest one is!

Lots of googling and searching has led me to the PH local folks.. I can find lots of indoor play areas (shut early don't do food etc), I can find lots of pubs, I can even find lots of pubs with outdoor play areas (brrrr) but can I find a pub nearby with an indoor play area? Not a chance.

Help!

I don't think there is one. I live in Bracknell and my mate has 4 kids and the only pubs with play areas I have been to have them outdoors. The Weather Vane has an outdoor play area that is visible from inside the pub (If you sit at the far end in the food area.). There is also an indoor play area called Whoosh in Bracknell Sports and leisure centre but that obviously doesn't have a bar, although I think it has a small cafe. I'm not sure of opening times, other than he takes them there on Saturday afternoons so its obviously open then!

The only thing I can think of would be a bowling alley. It would have a bar and do food (of sorts) and have plenty for the kids to do.

I hadn't thought of that. The Alley at Bracknell does have a bar that over looks the lanes too. There's also a couple of restaurants outside. (Pizza Hut and Frankie & Bennies.)

You could always upturn some of the tables and chairs, build them up into a fort, and create your own play area
