Twonk of the year award.

A40 Wycombe, Rover garage on A40. Red E36 3 series BMW. Looks like he came down Hatters lane, turned right onto the A40 towards Wycombe centre, then got an oversteer moment (first rain in a month around here today), tank slapped the other way and drove diagonally up the kerb, over the railings and onto one of the cars parked on the forecourt. Guy standing there looking a bit bewildered.

Wish I had a camera. If anyone is going past please take a pic!

Me too.

Police Shogun just took out a very small van (Bedford Rascal stylee) on Farringdon Rd in Holborn, Central London. Guess who came off worse....

Must have been quite a hit judging from the state of the van. Witness said it got launched into a passing Transit, that being the only thing that stopped it smashing into a nearby pavement and cafe yikes

I was watching the aftermath of that, never seen so many policemen in one place before. I did wonder how the paramedic on the push bike was going to get the old boy to hospital

I have two favourites, both 2-car relatively slow speed shunts with nobody injured.

The first was on the 1st of August some years back (whenever G plates first came out). The venue, the BMW main dealers on the Bath road in Taplow, the time about 10am, the incident, two happy punters in their brand new purchases, just picked up, both going to pull out of the forecourt in opposite directions. Cross-over point about 5 yards out of the forecourt, combined mileage on the cars before being taken back into the bodyshop for repairs, delivery mileage plus 10 yards in total!

The second was in Spain, where two roads join just below the bull ring in Alicante. I was on the way to catch a lift to Uni, when I noticed loads of people standing around laughing, despite the fact that we were in the middle of a torrential downpour. Normally, 2 cars having a simple little shunt wouldn't be much cause for celebration, but when both are police cars, one from the Guardia Civil and one from the Policia Nacional, and the Policia Local have just turned up to take down their details, it provides some pretty wonderful street theatre!

Not funny but completely surreal was also driving past the aftermath of a transporter that had shed its load on the M11 Southbound approaching the M25. Discoveries littered across the carriageway for a good 200 yards.

Going back several years to my favourite story.

Staring out of the office window looking for inspiration and I see a car trying to get out of a sidestreet onto a busy road. He waits impatiently for a while and then he sees a gap - just big enough for him - and he goes for it. And he makes it!

Unfortunately, the car he was towing didn't. Oops.

Saw two ladies in tesco's carpark reverse in to each other. They were both backing out of spaces, looking left and right, but not behind. Crunch. Made me and many others chuckle. Thank god there was not some old boy standing behind either car at the time!

I saw an old man the other day doing some classic 'bumper' parking in his BMW estate in Henley. Made for a good time for those watching. thumbup

That is quite a slippery roundabout - usually see it catch a few people out when heading out of Wycombe as it is slightly off camber in that direction. It always seems to attract the grease, especially after a dry patch. To lose it going down though, going a bit too quick me thinks as it is quite a tight turn.
