Well been speaking to the coachworks, and its going along ok, should be next week all done
But then they tell me clutch slave has let go completly and its being pushed around the garage
So once its done there off to Racing Green via the AA and their warranty protection for a new clutch slave and poss ligth weight fly wheel if I can stretch to that..
Never is a simple thign is it?!

Best of luck getting the Slave Cyl done, but getting them to put a Light Weight Flywheel in at the same time is either box or motor out.

Oh well live in hope eh !
On a lighter note I have just been jet washing the mud off my 4x4 truck
following my litte excursion along the Spread on Monday.
Buckets of the stuff on the drive afterwards.
Time for the kids to earn their pocket money.......

Its a box off job for the Slave! So as its off my thinking was..
OK mate I did not realise that. From what I have seen with TVR you need a shoehorn or double jointed arms to work on them, not a lot of spare room around the motor.
Do the later models still suffer from water ingress into the wiring / PCM ?
A mate had an early one, not the Wedge shape.
Used to get water behind the Firewall which got into the electrics.
Had V8 motor with the exhaust manifolds kinda the wrong way round.
Went like snot off a stick though but he did not use it in the wet.
Thats ok, they never make anything easy, but at the box is off i think i might as well do the clutch and fly etc. Not any water probs in wiring, they do have some crap soldered connections though, and little water features running down window inside in heavy weather! But yes it goes pretty well, look forward to doing santa pod when its sorted with us lot

Andy, be VERY careful when you take them off, they've left s

t all over the windows on my car so I'm guessing they won't be that paint friendly! My car is running great
