Can anyone suggest a decent Photographer
Discussion
Right, finally on a PC so can give a real answer... :-)
There's a few options I can recommend depending on what you are after.
For a lower cost option I'd suggest contacting a local camera club and see if any 'advanced' members are interested:
For the record, I do the odd wedding on the side so would normally offer... but, the challenge these days is I have is that I travel a lot for my Job so it's normally need to take leave to guarantee I'm at home - meaning I have to charge even for friends :-/. Let me know if you want to see any of my shots anyway :-)

- £1-2 Hundred quid goes a long way under this option.
- You'll be sure to get digital copies of the photos that you can do what you like with.
- Make sure you meet with the potentials and see some 'portfolio shots'.
- Lower the risk by finding 2 or 3 from the same club who are willing to shoot together (pretty common).
- I have a couple of photo clubs I can recommend if of interest.
- Lower risk, but you generally pay for it!
- 'Most' wont give digital copies so you'll have to go through them for the prints.
- I know a couple in the industry I can recommend but it will depend on where/when etc :-)

Thanks chaps. Just two quick points:
1) My full wedding site is at www.blokewithacamera.co.uk - browse away. Bespoke quotations; no 'packages'.
2) Yes, I give you all images on disk and licence to make your own prints, copies and even upload - which usually saves people several hundred pounds.
Cheers!

We are using this chap due to his good price and proximity to the wedding (Farnham) he is based in Basingstoke. He has had stuff in Hampshire bride magazine.
