This last week I've noticed a lot of patrol cars parked up and ready to go around Walton and on the A3. A few times there's been an unmarked white van (illegally parked) with the back windows facing the oncoming traffic.

I was of course well within the speed limit so I'm not worried but just curious if these are anpr or speed cameras? My road angel didn't detect anything (it has before with camera vans).

Has anyone else noticed them?

Yep, them's the ones. I've seen quite a few around in the past on the A308 but never before at these places.

If they are just anpr then I really don't mind that at all, getting uninsured/unlicenced drivers off the road is a much better use of police resources than nicking people for 36 in a 30 at 11pm.

Check out the first photo- parked just in front of the nsl repeaters- that tells me they are hoping to catch people speeding up whilst still in the earlier limit
