Anyone fancy this, playing in Covent Garden at The Roadhouse, thinking about heading up. Stu has a post up in the TR if you want more details, food from 8 which I am also hoping to make.

What sort of music do they play?

I'm dropping the family off in Somerset for the first week of the Easter holidays and getting a train back up, so I could probably make it. smile

All covers (so you'll know the songs and can drunkenly wail along) and indie/rock/pop is pretty much where they are at. Anything from Rage Against the Machine & Red Hot Chilli Peppers through to Kim Wilde and even some Aha (the latter two given a Lettuceheads interpretation)

Samples here:

They really are very very good.

Sounds good! Is it pay on the door? Is there a plan to meet up beforehand? I'd just time my train up from Yeovil to fit in with whatever the plan is.

Might come to this, as it's only 35 mins on train, me and Ali are often seen staggering around Covent Garden hehe Last time we were in the Roadhouse, one of us had to be sick between courses yikes and it wasn't me!

A good place to start is the Porterhouse around the corner, blinding bar, only sell there own brand of beer and lagers.

Pay on the door unless you are there early enough in which case it's free entry (or Stu might get us in anyway regardless of arrival time). Some are meeting for a bite to eat there at 8ish, assuming you have access to the TR which I think you do then thread is here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Not quite sure what I am doing yet, am in negotiation with Mrs Cloth as she may well come along, if she does we will probably not leave until kids are in bed and we'll then get a sitter in; can't see us being there much before 9-930 if that is the case, will miss the meal but be there for the band. If she bails then I will be there earlier and obviously just leave her to sort the kids out hehe

I certainly used to have access to the TR forum, but it's now coming up with "nothing to see here", so I assume my access has been revoked. cry

nono Regardless of virtual worlds, I've not been out doing anything for ages. cry Third babies make that sort of thing difficult, to say nothing of coaching rugby for 5yr olds every Sunday morning!
