With the upcoming wedding it's time for the Boxster to be moved on, but there is part of me that doesn't want to do it. Mainly because I can't think of what to have next.

The budget will be about £5k, which is movable, but not by much.

So what's out there? It doesn't have to be practical, the Nissan ticks that box, but I'm not sure I'm willing to go as extreme as a Caterham. Apart from the fact I don't want a barge it's pretty much free reign, I'm sure as soon as the ideas come rolling in I'll get a better idea.

Current thoughts are:
Last run of the MR2 (worried this might be like the Porsche, but without the decent engine)
MX5 (Well it has to be in there)
Leon Cupra
Clio Trophy (Pushing the budget too far though)

Any thoughts?

Not a bad shout, but anything within budget has starship like mileage.

Hmmm Cat D, I've never thought about buying one before. I know the thinking is buy it cheap sell it cheap, but I'm not too sure.

Just noticed there are a lot of Civic Type Rs in my price range...
